Pyin Oo Lwin
Peik Chin Myaung
Peik Chin Myaung Cave is near Wetwun village. It is at the entrance to the Peik Chin Myaung ravine, with many beautiful springs. As lime piled up, the hillock took formation. Gologists estimate that it could be between 230million and 310 million year old.
National Kandawgyi Garden
This 437- acer garden, formerly known as the Botanical Gardens, is situated in Pyin Oo Lwin, a hill resort 3,600 feet above sea level in Mandalay Division. The garden was upgraded in 2000 to be on par with the best botanical gardens in Southeast Asia. The National Kandawgyi Gardens has more than 480 species of trees including over 80 species of bamboo , 133 species of orchids, many medicinal plants and seasonal flowers. Many of them are indigenous to Myanmar. Roses , crocus, carnations, snapdragons , peonies, sweetpeas and phlox etc. bloom all the year round.
Pwe Kauk waterfall
Pwe Kauk Waterfall is about 8km from town. It is also called Hampshire Falls during British times. It’s a very pleasant picnic.
